Germans have perfected the wheat beer style known as hefeweizen or sometime hefeweiss. Hefe means yeast and weizen means wheat, (weiss means white). This beer is cloudy due to the yeast that is still in suspension. If it's really yeasty, the light won't penetrate and bounces off thus nearly "white" and that's where that part of the name comes. There was a snow storm during this event, but despite this, the event was well attended and everybody who attended, seemed to enjoy the day. I didn't get any pics of the crowd during the busy times (we were up to neck in ice, bloodies, garnishes and chasers). We premixed everything and served in a modified bucket with a stainless steel ball valve attached. It flowed very well. It takes a village (to make the garnish). Around 600 garnishes were made.
